Surface roughness (Rz) measurement.

Surface microroughness (Rz) is a useful supporting indicator of how a floor will perform when wet. We can measure Rz alongside pendulum testing to give a fuller picture of a surface.

Testing in Edinburgh

We attend sites across Edinburgh and the Lothians, test on location with minimal disruption, and issue a UKAS-accredited report. Because we're independent and don't sell anti-slip treatments, the results you receive are impartial.

Slip claims under Scots law

Edinburgh sits within the Scottish legal system, where occupiers' duties arise under the Occupiers' Liability (Scotland) Act 1960 and personal-injury claims are heard in the Sheriff Court or the Court of Session rather than the English courts. A UKAS-accredited pendulum report gives you robust, independent evidence of the floor's slip resistance that stands up under that framework.
