We provide UKAS-accredited pendulum slip resistance testing across Edinburgh and the Lothians, under ISO/IEC 17025 (Testing Laboratory No. 7933).
We're an independent, UKAS-accredited slip resistance testing laboratory. We test floors on site to BS 7976-2 and BS EN 16165, and interpret the results against the UK Slip Resistance Group guidelines — the same framework the HSE and the courts rely on.
We don't sell anti-slip coatings, cleaning or flooring. That means there's no commercial incentive to influence your results one way or the other — when we report a floor as safe or unsafe, that's simply what the pendulum measured.
Our testing is carried out under UKAS accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 (Testing Laboratory No. 7933). UKAS is the sole accreditation body recognised by the UK Government, and accreditation is what gives a slip test report its weight as evidence.
Edinburgh sits within the Scottish legal system, where occupiers' duties arise under the Occupiers' Liability (Scotland) Act 1960 and personal-injury claims are heard in the Sheriff Court or the Court of Session rather than the English courts. A UKAS-accredited pendulum report gives you robust, independent evidence of the floor's slip resistance that stands up under that framework.
Tell us about your site and what you need the test for. We'll come back with a clear, no-obligation quote.
